Since its inception in 1987, the house of Christian Lacroix has electrified the fashion world with its many collections inspired by gypsy and Provencal traditions and by the flamboyant Haute Couture scene in Paris and London during the swinging 60s.
Over the years, the brand has become synonymous with an innate, complex glamour and a vivacious confidence. Its reputation as the maison for haute couture was well founded and built upon a distinctive and passionate creative energy.
The house of Christian Lacroix is creatively led by Sacha Walkhoff, Mr Lacroix's second in command for over seventeen years. Under his creative direction, the house now shows Menswear and accessories, womens accessories, eye wear, a line of stationery, fragrance and of course furnishing fabrics under worldwide license with Designers Guild.
Following on from the success of the first two collections of fabrics & wallpaper, 'Arles' and 'Air de Paris', as well as previous collections of rugs and cushions, AW12 sees the introduction of a fantastic new range of cushions capturing the flamboyance and energy of the fashion house. This season Lacroix have explored both Astrological signs and some of Europe's most spirited capital cities to bring us seven new cushions alive with distinctive flourishes and vivid motifs.

"This story is of many journeys. It is the journey of one woman from Arles to her new home in cosmopolitan Paris. The crackle of magic in the meeting of these two cities the mixing airs of two worlds, perfumes in the empty room with an essence of something entirely newborn. In the journey from Arles to Paris we pick up mementos en route and reference to iconic elements which, are part of the eclectic heritage of the house of Lacriox"
"It has been a wonderfully exciting experience translating the spirit of Lacroix couture into a beautiful collection of fabrics for the home."
"We are delighted to add the very prestigious creative House of Christian Lacroix to our portfolio of brands." Simon Jeffreys, CEO of Designers Guild.
